Working as a marketing consultant with a tech start-up in the construction sector, I developed and implemented a multi-faceted marketing strategy.

·       Content. Researching relevant topics to engage with a wide range of stakeholders in the construction industry. Writing blogs, articles and web copy around these themes (using WordPress).  ·       E-newsletters. Building a relationship with subscribers through regular newsletters (using Mail Chimp). Creating A/B campaigns and analysing results to shape future marketing.
·       Social media. Designing and implementing a social media strategy for Twitter and LinkedIn (using Buffer).
·       SEO. Website optimisation that increased Google ranking to first page for target keywords.
·       Media. Crafting press releases to generate media interest in the product.
·       Analysis. Using analytics tools - Google Analytics, Buffer and Mail Chimp to assess marketing campaigns and plan the next phase of the strategy.

NZ On Air

NZ On Air provides funding to TV production companies, musicians, radio and new media to generate original New Zealand content. As the only in-house communications professional, I oversaw the delivery of their new website. This project management– from tender to completion – involved interfacing with the web development company; making sure the project flowed smoothly and reached key milestones on time and to budget. I also put together press releases, the bi-monthly newsletter, emails and helped with the annual report.

NZ Post

As part of the internal comms team at NZ Post, I managed their internal communications newsletter Frankly Speaking. Liaising with all levels of the organisation from directors to posties, I planned content, developed articles, and oversaw the design and production process. This included a hectic schedule of staff interviews, writing articles and chasing approval across the organisation and the country. I also worked with the design agency checking the layout and managing the print process.

Capital and Coast District Health Board

When I worked with this regional health management organisation in NZ, they were going through a huge period of change. A new hospital building project was underway, a new management team had just taken over and they were struggling to get staff on board with the developments. I worked with the internal comms manager to develop a strategy to communicate change in a positive way. I managed the comms calendar, plus researched and wrote the monthly newsletter Changing Times.
