Welcome to a new home
Meridian Energy (an electricity supplier in New Zealand) commissioned a state of the art, eco-friendly HQ on Wellington Harbour front. I created this welcome book to help staff and visitors get the most from their new environment.
My involvement started in the planning stage and included a tour of the building site to learn about the sustainable features. I arranged the information, planned the structure of the book and developed themes. I wrote the copy following Meridian’s brand guidelines.

Build with wood book
On board from the start of this project, I played a pivotal role developing this resource. For stage one I gathered information and discovered the what, why and who. I then meticuloulsy planned each section of the book. Next came more research, interviews, photo shoots and gathering stories to put into the different chapters. Finally, I worked through the approval process and pre-print proofing. The final product is a beautiful go-to resource for people renovating and building with wood.
Lifemark™
A home for life
The Lifemark™ seal of approval guarantees a home can be used or adapted for people of all ages and abilities. This complicated concept needs careful treatment to make sure people understand what to look for when buying a new home. I worked with the designer to develop key messages and copy that clearly explains the principles and practicalities of the Lifemark™ guarantee. The result: a helpful brochure that takes house buyers through the different areas of the home.
